7 Ways to Reinvent Your Blog Content

When I first began blogging, I wasn’t concerned about creating multiple content pieces with my post. I was worried about blogging and getting it out into the world. I used my Facebook blog page to build an audience.

Ways to reinvent your blog content

It took me a bit before I began to add Instagram to my portfolio. Then Pinterest and Instagram Stories, IGTV, and Twitter. The possibilities seem endless and daunting at the same time. As a beginner, I wouldn’t have known where to begin with more than 1 content stream.

I want to make it easier for you. I want to show you how you can turn your 1 blog post into 7 different pieces of content. 7 different ways to reach your ideal readers and connect with your audience.

REINVENTING YOUR BLOG CONTENT

TWITTER: Take a couple of your favourite quotes or phrases from your blog post and use them as your Twitter content. Engage your followers and link them back to your website so that they can read the entire post. I don’t use Twitter often. Depending on what type of niche your blog is, Twitter may work really well for you.

EMAIL NEWSLETTER: This really isn’t so much as reinventing your content but as sharing it again to your ideal readers. Your email newsletter is full of readers who love what you offer. Sometimes they can miss your blog posts when they are published so share them. I know that I send out a weekly newsletter on Sundays that share the blog posts that I shared that week. My audience now doesn’t need to search through my social media or website to find the newest posts. They get delivered directly to their email.

PINTEREST: Pinterest is all about creating beautiful graphics and infographics to draw people to your website. Turn your content into a beautiful infographic to show your content through images. Check out my own infographic to see the benefits of them.

INSTAGRAM STORIES: While you are creating your infographic and blog post, take some photos behind the scenes and add them to Instagram Stories. This is a great way to give your followers a bit about your process and how you create your magic. I know that I personally love seeing behind the scenes of small businesses.

YOUTUBE: You can create a how-to video with your blog post information to post on YouTube. The benefits of turning your blog post into a video are that it may be quicker for some to watch your video than to read your blog. Another benefit is that watching a video has a higher rate of retention which means that your audience may learn more from watching a video. This is due to the visual aids that come with videos.

LIVE VIDEOS: Host a live Q & A on your Facebook page for your followers to ask you questions about your blog post. This is a great way for them to pick your brain about the topic that you shared. Plus it gives you a way to learn about what your audience is looking for, what information they are craving, and more content ideas.

WEBINAR: Turn your blog post into a simple and easy webinar for your followers to watch. Hosting a webinar is a great way to build your email list, drive more traffic to your blog, expand your reach, and show your expertise on a certain topic. Webinars are a powerful way to build your brand and engage with your customers.

Repurposing your blog content is meant to bring more traffic to your website. Learning what your audience loves helps to see what content recreation will work best for you and for them. Try one or try them all.

Make sure that you put your personality and brand into any repurposed content that you create. That way it is easy for your audience to get to know the real you.
